I wonder if I might be so bold as to call upon the assistance of your association members? I have recently written a book on U.S. military baseball in Europe during WWII and I am planning to write a similar work on military baseball in the Pacific.

During WWII, baseball was a significant morale booster among military personnel and a reminder of back-home traditions. Military units often organized talented teams that staged one of the few available distractions from combat. And yet these events have gone unrecorded for all these years.

My aim is to honor these brave men and I would be pleased to hear from anyone, veterans or relatives, who can offer information or photographs of wartime baseball in the Pacific. My e-mail address and regular mail address are listed below.
