During excavation work in Spring Street, Melbourne, a circular concrete tunnel with steel bands around it was exposed. It was investigated by archaeologists. There was a photograph in a local Melbourne paper. (Does anyone have a copy?).
It was assumed that it connected Parliament house with other Government buildings in the area.
