The main thrust of this new board is the much thicker nose, what Kai Lenny calls his 'Aero' design. It's all explained in this video The most advanced/aerodynamic big wave surfboard we've ever built , and intrigued me the moment I watched it. The concept seemed like it could pay out some benefits with what I do, so I commissioned Allan to blend it all in with my existing template and design which he has on his computer file -

Allan did a truly superior job of integrating Kai's "Aero" concept into this thing. I'm just super stoked with how well it turned out …

Epoxy glass is always a lot tougher to sand, as it's kind of gummy and is a bit more challenging...

6-3 x 29, with the acceleration of a tiddly wink... Not sure of the exact weight, but we're all guessing maybe 7-8 lbs...?
Just SUPER light... We used 2.0 lb density EPS foam, and even though it probably didn't need it, we got an SUP handle for it that had a vent in it just to be sure on hot days... .

The fins are customs shaped up by Allan Gibbons, who used my large Pearson keels as a sort of guide... .

Color pattern on the bottom as a subtle ode to GG and his design... .

Detail matters. .

Ordered and received a very nice custom rubber pad for the board from Dean at 'Kneelo Gear'...?
When I get the board home, I'll install the deck pad then put two coats of acrylic fioor wax on the board, which has kind of defaulted
into the standard way to get a high shine gloss coat onto a board that's been glassed with epoxy, which doesn't polish up as nicely as polyester resin… .

Super happy with it; another spectacular collaboration with all involved. Many thanks to Allan Gibbons and Jeff Svoboda; that combination really came together on this one...
