February 2001
Finally have the frame back from sandblasting and powdercoating. Small lesson here - powercoating needs a lot of heat to cook the paint - melts the rubber bushes so I now have to sort out how to replace the back shock mounts and top engine mounts.
Progress for this month:
Found a reasonable 7" Honda 350
front drum to use (plus I now have 2 spare Honda wheels & an
8" Suzi T500 hub)
Frame is back from the powder coating
The spare swing arm has the good cast bushes
Settled on the 1mm over pistons / 9.5:1 CR, big CAM and try the 500T carbs (the
one on the left).
Frame standing again - early CB250 |
